ISE 2030: How the next 5 years will play out for our profession — in ISE education, in our organizations, and in our professional society

As part of our annual ISE Day, CISE is hosting this panel dialogue on the Future of ISE (ISE 2030). We'll have thought leaders from ISE education, ISE practitioners, IISE senior leaders, some young professionals, and students too. CISE held a Strategy Workshop back in May, and we'll share the output from that session in the form of our ISE 2030 strategy and plan. Then we'll draw in reactions and dialogue on those visions and strategies.

Bring ISE into a classroom — without starting from a blank page.

Students can't choose a profession they've never heard of. The K-12 outreach toolkit gathers what you need to change that: a ready-to-run assembly line activity with printable station signs, guidance tuned to each grade band, videos worth showing, and the organizations already looking for engineering volunteers.

  • Ready-to-run activity: Greeting Card Assembly Line, ages K-8, under 10 minutes — guide plus printable station signs.
  • Age-specific guidance: what actually lands with K-5, 6-8 and 9-12 audiences.
  • Nine places to connect: career days, scouting, robotics clubs, science fairs and more.
  • Contribute your own: a blank template so the activity you run becomes one anyone can run.
